About Me
I have always had a love for photography since I was little. If I ever had access to a camera or something that had a camera built into it I would take pictures with it. I would set up my dolls or Barbies as models and use my blankets as backdrops. I truly loved the art of photography after a camp I went to in middle school. I had photographed a greenhouse and fell in love with the photo. The only edit I did to it was decrease the exposure. After I realized that I had a passion for photography, I would practice my skills by taking photos of my brother at his baseball games. This is when I realized that something moving faster than a blink of an eye can still be seen. The reason I do the work I do now is because I love the relationships I get to form with people and their reactions to their photos after games or to split second photos that seemed impossible to capture.
Photographing movement causes you to look at the photograph and always have the same feeling you have when there is a cliffhanger at the end of a movie. It makes you think “What’s next?”, “What happened?”, “Where are they going?” I don’t just photograph through sports I also show movement in my lifestyle photography. When I photograph family or couples I will ask them to walk toward the camera, have the parents swing or throw and catch their child, and I will make them laugh. This makes the photos look more in the moment or like I wasn't even there.
My current goal as a photographer is to make the photos I take something that families, friends, and people can connect with and help them freeze their memories in time so it can live on forever. My plan after high school is to make this career full-time and make photography a way for people to connect and share their life experiences with the world.
